Hard Labor Creek Observatory
ClaimedWe serve as a working observatory where GSU faculty and students pursue research in stellar astronomy and space domain awareness. We provide students at every level with hands-on experience operating research-grade telescopes and analyzing real data. As per our agreement with the State Park we hold monthly free public nights, giving the community the opportunity to interact with researchers involved in cutting-edge projects. Volunteers help welcome visitors, assist with the operation of the telescopes, and interact with the public on special topics (astronomical resources provided).
